I miss Gloria...

I was a faithful and devoted Gloria user before it was outrageously discontinued in 2009. That's how long I have pined for this scent.
I received my order today and I am pleasantly surprised.
It's settling on my skin and smelling more and more like the original. Straight out of the bottle it is very masculine and I'm not sure what my nose is picking up first (The amber? The amaretto?). It is certainly a bolder formulation than the original. It is missing the creaminess that the original had but my skin has probably changed over the years. I don't pick up any of the cherry or vanilla that the original had.
Sprayed into clothes or into the air it's almost got an orange blossom smell to it.
I can't wait to wear it on different days in different weather to see if it changes into a perfect dupe for the original.
It's close... but not a perfect match. Still a lovely fragrance but just a bit too masculine and bold compared to the original.

Glorious.

. I will admit, I have not had the original in my collection and bought this dupe based on the many people I read online who were longing to buy Gloria, but cannot as it is discontinued.
This Dupe Spot version is truly a lovely perfume., It lasts on the skin (and lingers on clothes too). It is dream like and a “cannot stop sniffing myself” scent.
