Different batches, different smells?

I got a testers of this with my last order and really liked it. I ordered a 50ml but they dont smell the same.... now i know this can happen with batches ethos new one is a bit more subtle and smoother? It just didnt have the initial impact I had with the tester in the top notes. That being said, after a few wears I actually really like it. Having never smelled the genuine M7. I dont know which one of these is more accurate but as a standalone fragrance its good.

Classy mature vibes

Smell like description. Kinda mature, well off vibe. Im in my mid 20 but still can get compliments on this. And it lasts quite long time (8 hours) on my clothes. I spray this on days I want people to take me seriously.
