I don’t have experience with the original, so I can only review this on its own merits, & it has a lot of merit!
Lovely sweet, lively tobacco scent, (no old man mustiness here) meets a fruity, aromatic oud & blends deliciously.
It smells mostly linear to me, if there’s a whiskey note it’s swallowed up immediately by the power of the main stars of the scent, but it lasts a long time on my skin & its linear nature really lends itself to layering.
I’ve gotten compliments wearing this layered with a cherry scent before, & it is very calming to wear to bed too.
Really recommend it, a stand out in the collection.
